Upon graduation from AV头等舱 College, pre-licensure students will be eligible to sit for the National Council of State Boards of Nursing licensure examination for registered nurses (NCLEX-RN). Graduates from AV头等舱 College that reside out of state and wish to make application to their home state Board of Nursing can. It is the student’s responsibility to determine eligibility.
Any student that is in the RN-BSN track at AV头等舱 College is for licensed nurses (registered nurses – RN). These students are not required to seek licensure after graduation. The initial RN licensure is retained, and it is only a change in degree status.
To seek certification, AV头等舱 College undergraduate education students must complete a CA-1 form at the end of student teaching. Once the degree is conferred, a AV头等舱 Certification Officer will process the CA-1 form and send it to Education Professional Standards Board (EPSB) in Kentucky. Before the process can be completed, graduates of the Educational Studies Unit at AV头等舱 College must log on to their Education Professional Standards Board account and pay the application processing fee. The applicant will be notified once their certificate is ready to download.
The master’s degree plan fulfills the educational requirements and prepares students for the successful passing of the examination in professional practice of psychology (EPPP) in order to qualify for the licensed psychological associate licensure from the Kentucky State Board of Examiners of Psychologists. The educational requirements for licensure as a Psychological Practitioner include an additional 15 hours of coursework beyond the psychological associate (indicated as “endorsement courses” in the curriculum below) and 5 years “on the job” supervision and training. Additionally, students should also be aware that psychology licensing can vary from state to state, and thus are encouraged to make sure they are aware of these different qualifications should they decide to practice outside of the state of Kentucky.
